Troubleshooting Guide: MikroTik Router Not Working or Blue Light Flashing

If you're experiencing issues with your MikroTik router—such as no internet and a flashing blue light—follow the steps below to temporarily restore your internet connection.

Symptoms

Blue light on the MikroTik router is flashing
No internet access across your devices
Wi-Fi may still show connected, but with no actual service

Quick Fix: Bypass the MikroTik Router

Locate the Ethernet Cable

Find the Ethernet cable that runs from your MikroTik router to your network switch.

Unplug the Cable from the MikroTik

Gently unplug this cable from the MikroTik router.

Plug the Cable into Your Du Modem

Now take that same Ethernet cable and plug it directly into one of the LAN (yellow) ports on your Du modem.

Wait for Connection

Give it about 30–60 seconds. Your internet should now be back online (although without the advanced features provided by the MikroTik).

Important Notes

This is a temporary fix to restore internet access.

Your network may run without certain custom settings, VPNs, or protections that were handled by your MikroTik router.
